Eau de Toilette

Eau de Toilette has a lower concentration of essence in its composition. It varies between 8 and 15%. The essential oils can be dissolved in water, oil or alcohol.

At the beginning of the 18th century, the Italian family Farina wanted to produce a fresh scented water for the daily use of ordinary people, as opposed to the dense French perfumes of the time. They started with a very fresh fragrance based on citrus, bergamot and herbal essential oils, dissolved in ethanol. It is lighter to the sense of smell and lighter, so it has a lesser duration on the skin.
