How to apply body cosmetics

The way to apply natural cosmetics will depend on the characteristics of the presentation of the same and the use that requires or not of devices and whether they are for personal or professional use.

Basic features

Body cosmetics are found in various presentations due to 3 ingredients that give it its basic characteristics and which are:

Excipients

This is a substance where the active substance dissolves.

The active ingredient

This is to take care of the body. These principles can be of natural or synthetic origin and determine the specific use of it . You will find these:

  • Detergents
  • Moisturizers
  • Emollients
  • Conditioners
  • Antisolares
  • Enriching
  • Exfoliants
  • Softeners
  • Deodorants
  • Bleaching & hellip;

Additives

They are the necessary for its conservation over time, stability, appearance, texture and smell. These 3 elements give the product its cosmetic form, and the common ones are:

Emulsions :

  • That dilutes one liquid in another.
  • O / A: more water less oil: body milk.
  • A / O: more oil less water: cream

Suspensions :

  • Solid active ingredient + liquid excipient: fluid make-up to the gel.

Forms packed under pressure :

  • Liquid carrier with a propellant gas: spray up to foam
  • Mix water + organic solvents: perfumes .
  • Solids : active ingredients in solid excipients: powder , stick and in tablet .

In body cosmetics it is essential to take into account some factors when making the purchase for personal application or to talk with the professional who applies the treatment.

This is because it will determine not only the active ingredient, but also the cosmetic and the inherent characteristics. These factors are:

  • What you need or want and where.
  • Whether or not you have allergies.
  • Activities it performs.
  • Age.
  • Schedules of the application.

Also, you should remember that cosmetics are not medicines because they do not prevent or cure diseases , although in many cases they are used in an auxiliary way.
